HD-PVR and channel changes

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. I'm unning an HD-PVR with the USB-UIRT to change the channels on the DirecTV receiver. Unfortunately, the IR built into the HD-PVR is unreliable and stops responding.

Anyway, it seems that I can use the program guide to tune to a channel and watch live TV just fine. However when I go back to the guide to switch to another channel SageTV locks up and I have to end the task. The screen first shows the rotating ICON and then the ICON freezes. When I re-launce SageTV and choose Live TV the channel is already tuned to the station that I was attempting to watch when the lockup occured.

How have you defined the directshow H.264 filter you want Sage to use?

You have the required Sageproperty edits for these h.264 filters?

You have "Directshow" selected under audio/video "MPEG4"?

Hard to say what is causing your lock up?

I would start by enabling debug logging and then check the created txt file for a reference to what is causing the lock up.

I would guess it is locking when building the directshow graph.

You could also try to see if your STB is "locked" into one output resolution. I think a few people have trouble with the HD PVR when the STB output changes from 490i, 720p, 1080i... Locking it to one output resolution usually helps.
