Both Tuners Same Recording? HDHR setup on a MAC
I recently installed my HDHomeRun and am evaluating the SageTV application for MAC. I have Heroes and Two and a Half Men set up as favorites. It is noe 10:45 PM EST and I can see I have the two recordings on my NAS via browsing to them through OS X or SageTV Recordings.
Here's the interesting part, both the Heroes recording and the Two and a Half Men recording are of Heroes. Even though the guide data on the Two and a Half Men recording is all correct, the actual video in the MPG is of Heroes. The video in the Heroes mpg file is of Heroes as well. My scheduled recordings showed that Heroes would be on Tuner 0 and Two and Half Men would be on Tuner 1 of the HDHomeRun. Any ideas? |

It sounds like the tuner isn't configured properly. I would double check Channel Setup for each tuner to make sure the channels tune to what they say they are, using the View option. I'll leave my comments to that since I'm only familiar with using the HDHR on a Windows PC, so maybe a Mac user will help you further.

Humph
Okay, so I went through the channel setup again, this time with a fine tooth comb.
I had set up Tuner0 of the HDHomeRun in SageTV by using the channel scan function and went and mapped the channel names so they matched the Zap2It listings. I never did the channel scan for Tuner1 because it looked like it did an exact copy from Tuner0. I never originally checked using the View button on Tuner1 either during my initial setup. To quickly resolve the issue, I took the .frq file for Tuner0 and copied its contents into the Tuner1 .frq file in my SageTV data directly. I verified the correct channels using the View button for both tuners now (at least for the major 4 networks). This should have resolved the issues which I saw last night. I'll verify tonight. Thanks for you help! |

Yes, as you noticed, both tuners need to go through the scan process. Copying the frq file can also work as a shortcut, as you also noticed, if you know how to do that.
