Grainy picture after Sage Install
I hope someone can help me. I have just built a new HTPC with a PVR350. I got all the drivers installed and fired up WinTV2000 and everything looked great on my vga monitor (I haven't moved it to the living room yet). Then I installed SageTV and the menu system looks fine, but when I go to live mode the picture is terrible.
To make matters worse, now the picture is also bad in WinTV2000. Very grainy. I have played with different quality settings, but haven't had any luck. I also tried the old failsafe of rebooting. Still no luck. Another problem I noticed that if I was in live mode and went back to the menu, I couldn't see it. It was a black screen, although I could tell the menu was there because I could get the little grainy picture in the guide. Here is my setup. Kanam HT-200 Black Case Chaintech Nforce 3 Motherboard Athlon 64 3200+ 512Mb memory 160Gb Hard drive (25Gb OS/Software 135Gb Sage dedicated space) Sapphire 9600XT Video card PVR-350 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dennis |

I figured out the grainy picture.
The answer has two parts. One is that I'm an idiot. Two, the cable went bad. Your guess is as good as mine as to which is the bigger piece of the puzzle. Still don't know what is going on with the black screen. |

Justme
Everything seems to be working great now. Nice product. It is very Tivo-like, which is a good thing, but with more functionality. Thanks for your help |
