Strange display issue - h.264
Hi,
I don't seems to find similar issue but as I don't know how to call the problem I have, it's hard to do proper search in the forums. I've been recording movies for the last few months without problems. I can watch them without noticing any degradation of any sort. A few weeks ago, I started to record some series. Recording is still working fine. However, when playing those, the bottom third of the screen is often having blurry lines that appears. If I do a forward/rewind or a pause/play or stop/play, everything looks great for a while. But it will come back at some point. I have not experienced this with movies recorded from TMN. If I had to guess something, I would say it seems related to the fact that there is some generic that appears in the bottom of the screen or maybe the station logo and that's about where the display problem is occuring. The image is always there but kind of moving from right to left and with some delay compared to the upper part of the image. Is it something that was discussed before? If so, what was the name associated with this problem (that's not what I used to call stuttering or blockyness). I'm using SageTV Client on Vista home premium. I've tried both SageTV decoder and Directshow (Arcsoft that came with HD-PVR) and it is consistent. It won't always appear in the same place but will, during a 60 minute show, appears about 6-10 times and never disappear except if I do a pause/play or stop/play. Then, I'm buying about 5 minutes until it start back. Any questions/comments/suggestions? Thank you. ehfortin |

If these links don't make sense or the above change does not help then you have a different problem. |
