Thank you one and all!

I have tinkered with this for a while. My current setup is working:

PowerDVD 7 with the latest sagedemux (v2). Playback is very good. Not perfect, but almost. Of course, I am tempted to tinker. But that is my problem.

I will look for this elsewhere - but if anyone happens to check this thread - what IR control method are people using? I have a USB-UIRT and could use that, or, I suppose, I could use the IR blaster built into the HD PVR.

Thanks,
Ralph

I'm using my USB-UIRT. It seemd to me people seem to keep having issues with the built-in IR of HDPVR so I took the easy way out. Works great.

Yea, before I got my HD-PVR I was already using FireWire to change channels on it. Works like a charm. My only real issue with the FireWire channel changing is that it removes leading zeros and as a result channel changes to two digit channels take longer because it waits a short period of time for more input. I've actually started to think about going back to my USB-UIRT. FireWire channel changing is nice but the delay I have to put into my HD-PVR recording because of it is kind of a killer. It can take up to 8sec for the channel to change and then for the HD-PVR to sync to the signal. If only the FireWire channel changing program didn't strip the leading zeros out.
