QAM channels SD?

I got my QAM set up and the channels are coming in WideScreen, however in SD.....shouldn't these be HD if they are widescreen?

Sometimes the cable company rebroadcasts SD content on QAM, if you have access to an analog tuner check and see if the channel is in widescreen format on that channel in analog as well.

Also what tuner(s) are you using for QAM

I'm using an HVR-1800 for QAM. I am only picking up a few channels (6 or 7) on Time Warner.

do you have any amplifiers or anything in your setup, also whats your SNR using the Hauppauge signal monitor tool.

No amplifiers. SNR is 0 now and the channels stopped working, I have to reboot to fix this when it happens, which I don't know why.

I'm sorry, SNR is 28.3....wasn't working before because the HD100 was on.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm using a splitter.

I can tell you from experience you'll need around 31 and up to pick up most channels for whatever reason the 1600 and 1800 are very sensitive to SNR. Try moving splitter around plugging strait into wall or if you have another splitter try that. also when doing a channel scan watch the signal monitor and see how much it varies. you should be able to fine tune from there.

Check out this site it kind of explains SNR ratios for QAM Channels. http://www.dslreports.com/faq/16085
