Coming back to SageMC

So I have had a wonderful Sagev5 system running with SageMC for a couple/few years now.

I'm now taking the plunge and purchased my v6 upgrade key and am ready to jump back in (after backups of course!)

I notice that it's been awhile (7 months?) since a release of MC and I'm wondering how active it still is? I can see ton's of people using it and such just want to know if it's just gotten that stable that the old multiple releases in a day thing is gone cause it isn't needed or if the general things in life have slowed it down?

So I guess I'm looking for a "state of the MC address" or something like that

See you much more soon (starting tomorrow night!)...

Its that stable...
And the developers have been busy with some "real life" stuff over the summer. Fortunately a new release is coming soon (I think Mike said in the next few weeks or so) so you're in luck.

Its definitely a great add-in that I recommend. Lots of us on these forums are using the SageMC UI and so yeah - give it a try.

Sweet

I can certainly understand the real life stuff as I (well my wife anyways) have had a couple of kids and moved a few times since last being active around these parts...

So I'm glad things have levelled out and I have so much more to play with now... As if I needed more things to suck up my time

I tried SageMC -- visually it really is very appealing.

I dont use a remote to control sage, but rather a mouse (the MX Air to be specific, which is really nice as it acts like a Wiimote!)

Unfortunately SageMC was pretty mouse un-friendly (even with the Toolbar for SageMC STV Import). Its dialogs were missing many of the mouse navigation options included in the default Sage, and right clicking things with the mouse didnt seem to work, so I had to uninstall it.

Hi Ryan.
At it's inception SageMC was setup to be a remote control driven UI, I remeber that much

Also tonight I managed to relativly easily upgrade Sage, now onto reinstalling MC!

Not sure what problems you were having with the mouse control Ryan, but there is a good mouse-centric toolbar plugin and even a touch-screen plugin available for SageMC that works very well.

But the core of SageMC was definitely designed to be used with a remote control.
