need help!

i have a wintv-d and i'm trying to get this to work with sage
i'm using this wdm driver since hauppage doesn't support wdm for this particular card http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/index.html

i've been using dscaler as my tv tuner prog and it's been great but i want to be able to network my tuner http://www.dscaler.org/index.php

so my prob is this.. my card works with dscaler but y not sage? is there a way i can use dscaler to decode my video? i installed the latest elecard mpeg2 decoder

help is greatly appreciated

Sage will support a capture/tuner card with a hardware mpeg encoder chip. If your card doesn't have it Sage will not support. That's why most cards are the PVR250/350 cards.

The WinTV-D only has a Hardware MPEG Decoder chip and thoses driver where only made for BT8x8 chip not your card

My understanding from the limited descriptions I could find, is that the WinTV-D just copies pre-encoded digital mpeg streams to hard drive. So it really isn't a encoding card at all. It still might be possible for SageTV to add support for these cards.

That card's been dead for a few years now, as has the WinTV-HD.
