Scientific Atlanta 3240HD from Time Warner
My local cable company offers the SA-3240HD converter box to get digital channels including HD channels. This box does have a firewire port on it, and I am wondering if anyone has successfully set up one of these for use with Sage.
I'll just use the HD-PVR. I guess that should work fine. Last edited by simonen; 09-18-2008 at 08:05 PM. Reason: More info: |

I got the wrong info from Time Warner, they sent me a Motorola 3200HD. Either way, my experience using it with the HD-PVR so far is working wonderfully. I did have some tuner merit issues to deal with and the BDA drivers for the HDHomerun had to be reinstalled. Otherwise, playback is smooth and responsive using the HD media extenders. I run a headless server, so I have not had to deal with many of the issues that people seem to be having with the HD-PVR.
Placeshifter does play them in slow motion, but no surprise there. Patiently waiting for that to be fixed. |
