SageTV auto scheduling algorithm

I have two tuner cards and about 35 favorites for SageTV to auto schedule with look-ahead scope of about 8 days. The older version of Sage (6.3.10) works perfectly. But when I switch to newer version (6.4.8 and also new PC), I found many times SageTV failed to schedule correctly.

I usually see some conflicts that three programs need to recorded simultaneously (and hence conflict with two tuner cards). However, the programs always has 2 airing time and I can easily solve the conflict by manually choose one of the program at later time. I wonder why Sage can not resolve such easy conflict by itself.

Reduce your scheduling lookahead back to the default 3 days and try again. There can be issues when you increase the lookahead time & thus it isn't supported.

If you've made other changes, set them back to default values. After that, if you still have scheduling issues, then you should contact support.
