Clean up encioders in properties file

Is there any way to clean up the encoders information in the sage.properties file? I have been using sage for years and years and the hardware has evolved around a static software install.

My properties file has definitions for encoders that no longer exist. Is there a preferred way to remove them safely?

Also I am currently using 2 HD-PVRs units. Is there any way to determine which is which from the UI? It's almost impossible to determine from the UI what unit #2 maps to from a physical hardware point of view.

You could probably just delete the mmc/encoders/xxxx lines in sage.properties for the old tuners that no longer exit. Or, delete the properties files & reconfigure everything. Or, just leave them; I don't think they hurt anything. Make a backup before changing anything, of course.

The way I determine which HD-PVR is which is to preview a channel in Channel Setup & see which tuner lights up. I then tagged the associated tuners & STBs so I know which go together, what their firewire IDs are, & so on.
