SageTV and Online Video Problem.

I recently started encoding to H264. I am using COREAVC everything works fine as far as playing H264 videos. I setup Sagetv to always use DSHOW in Sage Properties and this causes a problem where the online videos will play for about 4 secs and stop.

If I do not set that propery in sage to use DShow then online videos play fine but SageTVplayer plays my H264 which I do not want to happen. I want it to use the coreavc.


My settings Currently

always_use_dshow_player=true

videoframe/h264_video_decoder_filter=CoreAVC Video Decoder.

Why am I unable to completely watched online Videos? I have FFDShow installed.....any help will be appreciated.

I have the same problem and I'm using CoreAVC too. Roughly 30 seconds into every youtube video playback pauses and won't start back up again. Is anyone using a different decoder experiencing the same problem?

Hmm, it turns out I can't actually play H.264 files terribly consistently either. I just upgraded CoreAVC to 1.8, hoping to fix the youtube bug, but now I've noticed I can't play back my H.264 encoded files. They'll start up OK, and seem to play back as long as I don't touch anything. But trying to open up the CoreAVC configuration crashes it every time.

I tried switching to the Cyberlink decoder. That seems to let me watch my H.264 encoded files, but I just get a black screen in youtube.

Did you ever contact tech support? I'm going to submit a ticket tonight when I get home if you haven't done so.

Also, what versions of CoreAVC and Haali do you have on your system?
