support for SigmaTel 4200 USB-IrDa bridge?

I have a SigmaTel 4200 USB-Irda brdige on my machine. Girder see it and was able to recognize the WinTV remote and accept commands. I did the setup for USB-UIRT for SageTV, but once I get to the point of specifing the Com port to use, Sage comes back and says it can't detect a IR tranciever on the specified port.

Nothing else appears to be using the device (Girder is off), so I'm at a loss.

Help? Ideas?
