Vista admin password lost

I recently got a Vista system for one of my boys. I left the machine up for a couple days while I was still installing stuff. Sure enough, one of my other boys went in and must have changed the password of the only admin account (an account I created during setup). Of course, he doesn't recall anything.

So, all I have is a standard user account. What's the recommended way of getting admin access to the box again, short of restoring from the recover DVD's?

Anybody can confirm that this one works?

Personaly i'd stay away from windows tools that attempt to crack/reset the password... many are simply spyware.... I can't speak for the tool you listed, but I use this one quite a bit....

Here is a bootable linux disk that boots into a program that enables you to reset the password on any account. This is not a user friendly tool, but I've used many times to reset passwords on other people's machines. You can read more about it here

Tried out the above. Interestingly, my boys Hp can't boot from USB, and it wouldn't boot from their ISO either. But the trinity rescue kit worked fine.
