"Record Series" confusion
SageMC
SageTV 6.4.x I'm a little confused... When I choose to record a series and set the "show type" option to "First runs" only, sometimes it will queue up previously aired shows to record. Is that normal? I interpret "First Runs" to mean "never before aired on television"... does it actually mean "never before seen by you"? How does this all work with the "set watched" option? Thanks, MB Last edited by thecgmguy; 08-26-2008 at 09:51 PM. Reason: grammar |

I'm not a SageMC user, but as far as SageTV in general goes, "first run" means anything that claims to be a first run in the EPG. So for instance when TNT airs a new episode of "The Closer" three times in one week, they're typically all marked "first run" in the EPG and will be recorded as first runs by Sage.
"Set watched" means you've seen it already and should prevent Sage from recording it again, even it it otherwise matches your Favorite criteria.
