help: media extender died

Unboxed my media extender today and was happy to see it worked pretty well on first power up. Then I foolishly followed the instructions to download the latest firmware. After that loaded, I got the Sagetv splash screen and then everything is dead. No response to any buttons on the box or remote. OK, I'll try the hard reset procedures on page 8 of the guide. Thanks a lot for referring to a "home" button on the front panel when mine has no such button?!? Assume you meant Menu. Still no life when powering up with menu+up pressed. Help!

Thanks for the link, but those instructions still don't seem to fix it. I did put the stx1000.bin file on my server, and now at least I get the Active and IR leds to blink for awhile after hard reset (which I now see is menu + ok). but still no life on my screen. I'll keep trying.

Yay, after a few more resets of server plus extender, it has come back to life.
