Angry failed to initialize infrared remote hardware

i'm getting an error when i try to start my IR for my PVR-250.

failed to initialize infrared remote hardware

Has anyone had this problem? 2 cards on 2 computers.

No but that agian only one my card have IR port becuase the other one is 250MCE card

I fixed it

ok i fixed it. i had to clean the drives (via hcwclear).
after that i reinstalled the drivers for the cards and then the ir software.

I'm haing the same problem, I've reinstalled several times.

Do I need to install anything but the driver and IR software? I skipped the DVR stuff that came with the 250 card.

Fixed it. It was missing a dll, I found this:

"You need at least hcwI2C32.DLL and hcwUtl32.DLL for the IR app to work.

They are normally installed (on the PVR-250/350) with the driver update, so might be missing if you did an INF-only install. You could extract them from the driver update (PVR48xxx.exe) installer with Winzip and put them in windows\system or system32."
