Getting epg listings on custom added channel

My apologies for the convoluted heading - not sure how to describe this issue succinctly

I'm using 6.4.7, clear quam via a HVR1600

I just did a rescan and remap process for my 1600 after installing latest Hauppage beta drivers.

I'm using the TWC West LA epg line-up for my 1600's digital tuner (so as not to corrupt my TWC Santa Monica lineup for my analog tuners).

My problem is that I have a channel that isn't in the standard line up (or if it is I cant find it and it's not listed on the TWC website channel listings). The channel is WGN America HD.

I tried adding an extra chanel and calling it WGN and remapping it to the correct QAM channel location but Sage didn't find any EPG data...

This is a great channel, lots of good HD movies etc. how can I fix this issue?

Many thanks for all help

When adding a channel not included in your cable lineup you will need to look up info for the following SageTV questions:

Enter the NAME of the new channel...

1. Find a cable or sat system that carries your extra channel. This is important if you ever hope to get EPG Data. Use tvlistings.Zap2it.com (our EPG provider) and try to find a system that carries the channel. In this case we find WGN carried by TimeWarnerCable Digital (Los Angeles)

2. Find the correct CALLSIGN of the station. In this case we find that WGN is actually WGNSAT

Enter the new CHANNEL NUMBER for...

3. Enter the Logical Number where you want the channel to show up in your lineup (Think Remote Control Channel).

If you know the Station ID for...

4. When adding a channel you 'may' be asked for the Station ID Number (stnNum) that SageTV uses to request EPG Data. You find the stnNum by hovering over the station name on the Zap2it website and looking at the URL: stnNum=17098, so 17098 is the number you would type into SageTV if asked.

By the way, this is all in the SageTV User Guide .pdf that came with your software.

Thank Conejo

That sorted it.

Of course I searched the forums for an hour but never thought to actually look in manual!
