delete from sage recordings or manually

Hi. I can't delete things from sage recordings. I select a recorded program, hit delete, confirm - but it is still there.

Plus, if I delete from windows explorer (manually) - the show still shows up in sage recordings. How about synchronizing what is there with what is shown?

When you delete recordings from within SageTV, did you check to see if the actual file was deleted? On my system, the files get deleted when using v2, but they did not always get deleted when I used v1.4, especially when I tried to do so via SageTVClient. However, in v2, they still remain displayed in the Sage Recordings list until you refresh that particular screen full -- try paging up or down & then return to where the show was listed. I believe this has been reported as a bug.

Again, mine does get synched, but I have to refresh the list for it to be updated. (I think I have to exit the list & re-enter that screen.)

Are your experiences simialar to all that, or completely different?

There are a few things that need some tweaking for this to work as expected.

Refreshing does nothing. There are still files sitting in sage recordings that I have deleted.

Plus if I delete stuff from sage recordings, it just hangs around no matter.

I believe this is done on purpose. It used to be that as soon as a file dissapeared it was removed from Sage's listings, but this was bad if you stored your recordings on a network drive and the network went down, everything dissapeared. Many people requested a timeout so that they wouldn't get removed from Sage if the network teporarily went down.
