Audio Stops Working

I've been having this problem more and more often ever since I wiped my hard drive and reinstalled everything. Basically, whenever I'm doing anything on my computer and Sage is asleep, either Sage or my PVR-250 has a tendancy to stop recording audio. It isn't the renderer, because I can still play older recorded files and hear the audio. In order to get Sage working again I just have to close and restart Sage. Could this be a driver issue? I downloaded the drivers off hauppauge a couple weeks ago, would older versions work better?

Is the Instant Messenger service running? If it is, I'll bet that is the problem.

It isn't Instant Messenger that can cause an audio problem, it is Windows Messenger. (Unless there's another issue with some instant messenging apps that I'm not familiar with.)

When I first started using SageTV, the audio would stop after a few seconds of recording. I disabled Windows Messenger using the instructions provided in this post in an old thread. This does not solve audio issues for everyone, but it could be worth a shot.

Sorry but opus4 is correct, it was windows messenger that was causing my audio problems. It was disabled 2-3 weeks ago and I haven't had a problem since. It is worth a shot.
