Same show keeps recording, then deleting

I've had the following happen on numerous occasions. It's very repeatable. Here's the scenario:

When I approach the limit on my hard drive ("keep 50GB free"), new shows record, then immediately delete themselves. For example, I record the series Mad Men and tell Sage to keep up to 3 episodes. It will record an episode, then immediately delete itself, only to record the next showing later in the day. As soon as that episode records, it deletes itself again.

In general I set all shows to keep until space is needed. Why doesn't Sage keep my new show and delete the old ones? That seems like the logical thing to do.

If I give Sage a little more hard drive ("keep 25GB free") it will run for a while, then do the same thing again when the limit is approached. This is driving me and, more importantly, my wife crazy. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

The debug log should give some indication of why the file is getting deleted.

Do you have any customizations in use? If so, disable all of them while trying to determine what is happening.

I'll turn logging on and see if there's anything obvious happening. I use the SageMC interface, other than that it's a clean setup.

I'm moving this to the SageMC forum since the SageTV Software forum is for the default STV w/o cusotmizations.

I've seen posts about files being deleted by certain customization options in some situations. If you have a problem, always revert to a default setup w/o any cusotmizations for testing.
