just added pvr500, live tv freezes Sage

Everything has been good with the server and extenders I have. Only have been using the media library for now, but I added the Wintv PVR500, NTSC ,

-Set up was fine,
-Tuning was fine, at least for the first tuner, the second not sure about
- when I go to watch TV it shows a frame and freezes. The time counter is counting but nothing else. I see the round Sage arrow and it for the most part does nothing.
-The only way to get out of this is to ctrl + alt + del

Any help?

Thanks

Do you have the latest version of the drivers downloaded/installed from the Hauppauge website?

Once you have the latest drivers installed, please try these tests:

1. Schedule a recording. Once it completes, see if it will play
1a: on SageTV box
1b: on Extender

2. Start a recording. At 5 minutes into the recording try selecting it to play
2a: SageTV box
2b: Extender

3. Go into the GUIDE and choose a current program and select PLAY
3a: SageTV box
3b: Extender

4. Check SageTV Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Video/Audio:
4a: Video Renderer (try Overlay)
4b: MPEG2 Video Decoder (try others listed)

5. If it still locks up, try moving the PVR-500 into another PCI slot.

If you continue to have issues, please tell us the following:
Motherboard
OS version and bit (eg: XP Pro 32bit)
Video Card (eg: built-in, ATi 3250 PCI, etc)
Version of SageTV

Later, once you get the PVR-500 running, you *may* need to create and apply this registry fix if recorded shows have timeline issues.

Thanks!

I think the driver updates and the registry fix did the job.

I really appreciate it.
