HD PVR Where to buy?

I am ready to purchase a HD PVR. Where do you recommend I purchase from?

I have heard before that the Hauppauge online store was backlogged, and that it might take a few weeks before it shipped. Does anyone know if Hauppauge has cleared this backlog?

It appears available and in stock from several other online merchants (sometimes for slightly less money); I've read some reports of hardware problems from the early units, and am afraid these merchants may have older units to clear. Can anyone comment?

Also, has anyone purchased their HD PVR from a non-Hauppauge vendor, then needed to replace it through Hauppauge. Does this cause any extra headaches?

Thanks,

Ken

Did you know that Sage is selling them?
It looks like they are still in stock.

I was ready to buy it from Sage, then Dell came out with their "Deal of the Day"... $199, that was hard to pass up... unfortunately, for you, it was a one time only deal. For me, being in Canada, Dell was an especially good deal, since I didn't have to pay for shipping/duty/custom charges.

That must be why they are out of stock at Dell right now

I agree with the posts above, buy through SageTV and support them unless you find a great deal elsewhere.
