HD-PVR and overscan issues....
I also posted this in the Set-up stories thread, but I'm hoping a seperate thread might get others with similar issues attention...
I'm not sure if its an overscan issue, or possible a decoder problem. Just to for background I'm coming over from Sage after being a long-time VMC user. I have 4:3 CRt TV using s-video out from my ati 3450 video card. All the drivers are up to date. I have a SA 4250hdc stb set at 480i via s-video cable to my hdpvr. I'm using the Arcsoft decoder in Sage as well as tried all others installed on my system. All the settings in Sage are correct for my display. I also have a HVR-1600 using standard basic cable straight to the tuner. For some reason when tuning through the hdpvr I'm getting the 16x9 widescreen bars on my display. I'm also getting what I'm guessing is an overscan issue becuase along with the bars my my picture is way off center, slid down to one corner. I'm pulling my hair out.....can anyone provide any help on what I'm doing wrong? |
