Simple Question on HD-100
Everything I read, the HD-100 is the simpliest extender for the simpliest viewing of recorded tv, correct?
Am I correct in assuming that the HD-100 functions just fine on an old tv (non-HD) with compiste or s-video...? |

This isn't wireless? Is it possible to make this wireless by an access point...

The HD-1000 is very easy; pretty much power it up and use it ( Once the server is all setup and working well..). I have not used it with S-video or Composite, but I have used it with component and HDMI and it plays very well up to 1080i ( the highest my TV will go... )
Thanks, Jeff |

Technically you can, but I have never gotten smooth video over wireless. I have a Wireless/Wired Hauppauge MVP, and it works pretty good wired, but can't get it to work at all over wireless.

Yep, I'm running mine wirelessly using an 802.11n bridge. I wouldn't really recommend trying it with 802.11g though, its just too slow. (Actually, technically its fast enough but in practice it can't sustain the throughput necessary for a good SageTV experience.)

But to specifically answer the question, the HD100 itself is NOT wireless (has no internal equipment). It has a network cable jack. From there, you can decide what you want to do.
And yes, it plays fine on old SD TVs.

I have had my HD-100 hooked up via HDMI to an HD TV, picture was great. I had to move it to an older SD TV and hooked it up via S-video. Again the picture quality was great. (still SD but very nice).
