new 6.4.5 scheduling algorithms question

From the latest update:

Optimized scheduling algorithms when choosing between multiple channels for the same favorite so that shows on higher quality tuners are preferred over shows on lower quality tuners (this solves the problem of SageTV recording shows with SDTV tuners instead of HDTV tuners when the shows were on two different channels and the show wasn't marked as 'HDTV' specifically)

Is there a way this can be disabled? I never had any issuies with the HD flag missing. I only have one HD tuner so with this new setup if SageTV is already recording an SD show on the HD tuner I would now be locked out of watching any HD shows. However, before it would only use the HD tuner for HD shows.

Just set the encoder merit for the SD capture device to higher than your HD capture device. If a show is available in HD it will record using the HD capture device, if it is available in SD only, but on both tuners (ie all things being equal) it will use the encoder merit to determine which card to use (and thus use the SD card).

You can also help Sage out by setting up favorites that you know aren't HDTV to only record on the non-HDTV channel.

For example, I've got a "King of the Hill" favorite which I have set to only record on FOX and FX, but never FOX-HD.
