DirecTV H23-600 Channel Changing Problems

Just wanted to jump in here as a new HR22 owner. I hooked my sage pc up to the receiver by IOgear - usb > Serial > Null > Serial > USB

Followed every step on the boards, except rebooting my receiver. If you're searching these forums trying to get this hooked up for the first time, please don't repeat my mistake! Don't forget to reboot the receiver. Everything works like a charm now.

I just installed Windows 7 (64)to test and the string has moved. its now located

I have having problems with serial control of one of my DTV boxes, which happens to be a H23-600. Both RX are connected via USB serial - null - USB serial.

I also have a HR22-100 that works great, no problems. It is assigned COM 3.

The HR23-600 is assigned COM2 and I can change the channels with the DTV control exe. But sage does not appear to be opening the com port.

For instance once sage is running, I cannot open COM 3 anymore with the DTV control program, sage is using it. With COM 2 I can open it fine in DTV control. So for some reason Sage will open com 3 but not com 2. I have tried switching to com 4 and com 1, with no help.

I have submitted a support request, but if anyone has a suggestion I would appreciate it.
