Setup Video Playback Testing Fails
I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 TV tuner and a NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT AGP video card on my 2 GB AMD Athlon 64 Dual 4600+ processor. I get adequate (not great) TV reception using the default Hauppauge WinTV software.
I would love to use SageTV, but I can not get any video to work. The configuration setup fails to show any video on any level of the Video Playback tests. All I get is a black screen. When I try to watch "Live" TV, a "No Signal" message appears in the middle of the screen. I have opened the ports in my Norton firewall, and the tool has successfully listed both the SD and digital channels for my local cable company (Astound Broadband). So, any suggestions on how to get a signal into the SageTV tool? Thanks,
