mp4 no longer play on extender with 6.4.4
Everything played fine under 6.3.10. Then I upgraded to 6.4.4!!!
Everything still played fine on the server but my Extender would only play mpeg & avi. All my *.mp4 files would cause the Extender to crash and reboot itself. I downgraded back to 6.3.10 and everything plays fine again.

Did you upgraded the firmware on the extender to the latest beta firmware? I am currently running 6.4.4 on CentOS + latest beta firmware without any issues in the area you are mentioning.

I will try it again this weekend but I do not know why the Extender plays the videos fine in 6.3.10 under the current firmware but not in 6.4.4... But since when does logic apply to PC's???

Upgraded to 6.4.4 again, then updated the extender to the latest Beta firmware (20080707) and I still can't play my mp4 files.
Here's my Sage Debug Log Here is one of the files I can't play. (Right-Click 001_8_Ball_Bunny.mp4 and sace target as)

Your mp4 file plays fine on my HD100 with latest beta firmware. My own mp4 files plays fine to.
Is it not strange that the same file kan play fine on one extender but not on another? Rasmus

Ahhh. Sorry about that. I am an idiot. Although I hang out with a lot of morons so that noone will be smart enough to notice ...
I received a reply from Sage and they said it is because the mp4 files are trying to open up a connection to the server when a connection is already running. They did not tell me if it was a bug or not and did not give me a remedy either. I am waiting to hear back from them again to clarify what to do. Thanx for testing it out as it leads me to believe it's my setup.
