I've left mine on for 5 days, with sage media extender "recording" it, and its warm, but not hot. Guess I got a lucky first batch with the old lower voltage chip....
Anyway, my question, sending the HD-PVR to the media extender... would a standard wired linksys 100mps router be able to send the video to two media extenders in different rooms? I hate to buy a second hd media extender and have the network not be able to handle it. Second question, using a Nvidia 8500gt card, cpu is 5% using arcsoft to play/preview HD-PVR, but the sagetv uses 100%. I do have "use hardware accelleration" turned on in sage, and am using the latest beta drivers...Any suggestions? And last but not least, when using sage to record the HD-PVR, when I try to convert the resulting file, when its done, it plays back in slow motion and with audio. Tried several formats, and none of them make a good file (dvd, mp4, etc). It works fine on the files recorded off the hd atsc usb tuner stick. Something I'm doing wrong? Sage support said they couldn't duplicate it... |
