Controlling my set top box

Hi
I am currently using sage 1.4.10 and I am happy that I have it configured correctly. My question is how can I control my Motorola 2500 cable box. I currently own a serial UIRT, a Pronto and an IRMan. Somehow I am sure that I can get Sage to change the channel on the box using some of these items. I am happy to install and use Girder if necessary....what would you guys do?

I use Girder. There is a downloadable plugin somewhere on the SageTV web site called EXETunerPlugin. If you install it you will be able to write a registry key that specifies a command line to execute when SageTV wants to change channels. That will allow you to trigger a Girder event, and Girder can respond to that event by changing the channel.

A search on this board for EXETunerPlugin should return a bunch of further reading.

glbrown, my cake has already been baked. I have a Girder script that drives the channel changing process for me using my USB-UIRT. I will post it when I get home (usually it would be downloadable from my web server but I killed that machine trying to install Hauppauge cards so the link that is my signature doesn't work at the moment).
