HD-PVR, Vista, and DXVA
Hi,
I have two pc clients running vista business. Sage does not seem to be able to enable DXVA when playing back recordings made with the new Hauppauge HD-PVR. When these recordings are played back using the ArcSoft Total Media Extreme app that was included with the HD-PVR, or Windows Media Player (using the ArcSoft decoders) DXVA is enabled (the task manager shows dramatic drops in cpu usage over playback with Sage). I know that Sage user BobPhoenix is getting DXVA with Sage on a winxp system. After much tinkering I am beginning to wonder if this is an issue because I am using vista. Has anyone gotten sage to enable DXVA when playing back HD-PVR recordings on a windows vista system? If so, I would very much like to know the hardware, software and settings details of your machine(s). Any help is appreciated. TIA Jesse
