GPU Encoding Technology Coming
A local startup here in Portland, OR called Elemental Technologies is gaining a lot of attention with the software they are developing that offloads video encoding to the GPU of video cards. They have raked in about 7 Milion in venture funding and they are receiving a lot of press coverage about their product. Their product speeds up encoding by 10X by using the GPU's horsepower.
Does anyone know if this would be something that SageTV could take advantage of? Mark * merged *
