Definitely a problem ...

FYI ...

I have been working with SageTV Tech Support on this issue.

I have found a definite problem (at least, with my setup). A brand-new installation of SaveTV 6.4.4 couldn't find many (if any) HDHR channels. 6.4.3 worked fine.

Doing an upgrade from 6.4.3 to 6.4.4 lost my HDHR channels as well.

Doing a backup of two files from my 6.4.3 installation (as directed by Tech Support), upgrading to 6.4.4, and then overwriting the two "bad" 6.4.4 files resulted in everything working just fine again.

What files? I've got a problem where a few stations are viewable in VLC, but in Sage, nothing. Several other channels are coming in just fine, though. I'm wondering if this is a similar problem.

You need an old copy of 6.4.3 available, and replace these two files in your 6.4.4 installation:
  • \SageTV\SageTV\DShowCapture.dll
  • \SageTV\Common\TSSplitter.ax

IMHO, it would be better to get rid of your 6.4.4 installation and just reinstall 6.4.3. While replacing these files may fix the tuning problem, I have no idea if they will break other stuff in 6.4.4.

On a side note, the new SageTV 6.4.5 also breaks my HDHR.

For whatever it's worth for others reading this thread, I mentioned I was having a similar problem with 6.4.4 using a tuner card under Vista, and 6.4.5 did at least fix that problem.
