Ahhh, I see the problem. The options for the HD-PVR are as follows:

Component
Component+SPDIF
Composite
S-Video

It seems the options that are available don't allow the optical SPDIF input to be used along with either the composite or s-video inputs. That's kind of lame. I'm obviously using the Component+SPDIF option. Sorry, I would contact SageTV support and complain about that. That's a bit stupid that you can only use the SPDIF input along with the component input.

Audio sync problems so bad that tried a change.

Switched my cable box to output 720p instead of 1080i and now I don't have audio sync problems, but I have periodic stutters instead.

I think I dislike the stutters less, so going to stick with that until we get a pvr driver update.

Funny, I had run with 720p for a long time, lived with the stutter, and then I switched to 1080i, which fixed the stutter, but now I have the audio issue... I think it's worse on my TV with just HDMI audio than my tv with external surround sound. I'm guessing the Video is delayed from the audio, but I'll have to look more carefully.

The beta driver seems to have fixed this issue to me. There is a sticky posted in the hardware forum with all the details.

I still seem to have sync issues. Are you using 720p or 1080i output from your STB?

1080i. I did very little when I did the upgrade. I just installed the new drivers over the old ones; it asked to overwrite a newer file with an older one and I said yes. I have 2 other Hauppauge cards and did not reinstall the drivers for them (yes, they are still working). I had to reboot the HD PVR, restart the Sage service and then add the HDPVR with component + spdif back in. The HTPC is running WinXP MCE 2005 (all MCE services disabled).

Hope this helps.

1080i audio still out of sync on HD100 with new drivers for me.

720p stutter in CNN crawler appears fixed.

yeah, I'm not seeing the stutter either. Seems to be a sync issue with 720p too but maybe not as bad. Never watched 720p before because of the stutter.
