HD100 Extender and analog video capture (SD)
Good evening,
I finally have ordered, received and have set up my first HD100 extender. I have to say, HD looks awesome on it!
However, one thing I'm noticing is that the video captured on my analog capture cards (2 - PVR250's and the analog portion of an HVR-1600) looks more grainy... significantly more grainy. I realize this is probably due to the way the nvidia purevideo decoder somehow softened the image, and the HD100 probably produces a more accurate picture?
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on settings to help provide a better picture from the analog cards? I think I may invest in a cable amplifier to try to provide these cards a better signal (which could be a lot of it.. the cable is currently split across 5 connections - 3 PVR connections, 1 run to a standalone tv, and one to a cable modem).
Thanks for any suggestions... and I do think the HD100 is an awesome product!! Analog video just sucks, as it always did
