Problems with new HTPC and new TV

Greetings,

I recently purchased a new HD TV (Philips 47PFL7432D/37). I built a new HTPC to move into place with it (based on ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM motherboard). The new box has 3 hauppauge cards in it (250, 350, 1800).

I planned on using a DVI -> HDMI cable to drive the TV as a monitor for the box. The first time I booted the box while attached to the TV, I got signal for a few seconds during the boot phase (box is running Win XP) where it has the little bar going left to right, then nothing (no signal). The box is set up to login to my user account on boot and I made sure to set the video resolution to a supported mode. I can VNC into the box over the network and it appears to be running fine. I've changed the resolution to a few of the different supported resolutions for the TV. I've tried plugging into a different HDMI port on the TV. Nothing works. Other than that first glimpse of the booting screen, I haven't been able to get anything to the TV.

I then focused on the 350. I enabled the TV out for the 350 in Sage and ran that signal into an S Video port on the TV. That port works fine for my DVD player, but reports 'No Signal' for the 350.

I don't have another HD display to test with. The 350 worked fine in my old HTPC (using the TV out, running S Video into my old TV).

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going on? This is quite frustrating.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might be able to offer.

This has been resolved.

I went out and purchased a VisionTek ATI HD3450 video card. It drives the display on the TV with no issues.
