Sage Client error after changing to 22in monitor- same video card-driver

Below is a request for assistance sent to Sage Support.
Anyone here on the forums seen this?
--------------------------
Sage server 6.2

Sage server and MVP working fine.
Sage Client began giving this error
"There was a Playback Error in Playback. Details:
sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217): There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback."

The cause of this is:
I got a new Samsung 22in LCD monitor. I installed its "driver" from Samsung and its toolbar program called "Magic Tune Premium" which permits monitor adjustments using their PC software rather than the buttons on the monitor.

I did NOT change the video card's driver.

I changed the motherboard Nvidia graphics from 1280x1024 32 bit to 1680 x 1050 32 bits, the native mode of the Samsung monitor.

Now, this Sage Client error occurs immediately whenever I try to playback anything. Again, the MVP works fine.

Sage Client 6.2.10.152 has worked fine until the monitor changed.

WHAT I HAVE TRIED TO CORRECT PROBLEM:
1) click EXIT on the toolbar for the "Magic Tune Premium". No help

That particular error code generally means Sage can't find the right MPEG decoder. Check your codec priorities to make sure the Samsung utility didn't mess them up. Also review your decoder/renderer settings in Sage to make sure they're still what you think they are.

Also remember to change the Display Aspect Ratio in Sage, although getting that wrong usually just causes distortion rather than playback failure.

If you can't get it to work, trying rolling back to a System Restore point and install the Samsung driver again, without the Magic Tune utility.

you're over my head re "check your mpeg decoder priorities". I'm computer literate but not in this multimedia stuff.

Restore point: lovely Win XP Pro fails to use any of 8 prior restore points. All say Cannot Restore and that's all. Thanks again, MS, for Innovation.

odd. Samsung just loaded a monitor driver, whatever that is, rather than a video card driver. I will also change the video mode back to 1280x1024 and try sage, but that's not the native res for the 22in LCD.

There's a Microsoft utility called DecCheck for adjusting decoder priorities. I don't have the link off the top of my head, but Google should be able to find it.
