Pinnacle Systems PCTV?

Hey -

Just download the trial version of SageTV, hoping to try it out before I make a purchase.

I get the following error when trying to view TV:

There was a problem utilizing the specific capture configuration. Unable to configure the audio capture portion of the filter graph

Did a quick search and found that most instances of this error occur when using a non-compatible capture card.

I had a Pinnacle Systems PCTV card kicking around - didn't want to go out and buy a card just to try the software out.

Is this my problem, or could it be anything else?

SageTV did let me select the card during the initial setup, if that matters at all...

Thanks!

Sage needs a capture/tuner card with a mpeg2 hardware encoding chip. I don't believe your card has this and thus will not work properly.

I thought Pinnacle cards did? I never actually looked into them but maybe they were the highend software cards.
