no option to create new lineup for same guide source

So I have the Sage 6.4.3.171. I have an Hauppauge PVR 150 and HD PVR. HD an HD PVR STB from Verizon Fios. The 150 uses a standard digital STB. I want to set up so that one FIOS setting is for the HD and one is for the SD (so the SD does not try and tape an HD channel).

Unfortunately, when I select the guide, the same EPG lineup is for both devices despite me never asking to use the same.

Do I need to remove all reference of the PVR 150 from Sage Properties to get this to work?

Client: Windows 10 Pro

Media Extenders: HD-200 x 3, HD-200 x 2

Are you using the default STV from the beta? If not, switch back to it.

If so, the release notes say:
Quote:
10. When setting up a new source with a lineup that is already in use by another source with a different connection type, added option to copy the already-used lineup to a separately configurable lineup for the new source so that different channels can be enabled. If the "epg/force_ask_to_copy_lineup" property is true (default: false), then the user will see this option when a lineup is already used, even if the connection type is the same.
Maybe the physical connection type is not seen as being different, so try setting the epg/force_ask_to_copy_lineup property to true.

I am setting up the tuner in the default STV.

I had it set to false, did not work, set it to true, did not work, now I am back to false.

I just deleted the Hauppauge PVR 150 tuner from the properties and restarted, that did not work.

What I am doing now is that there are two digital fios, one basic, one extended. The basic has all the channels of the extended, they are just not marked. Temporary, I am going to use that lineup and submit a bug request.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Basic and extended versions of the same lineup aren't really different lineups.

When you changed the property in sage.properties, was SageTV completely closed? If not, the change would have been ignored.

correction: that did not work. Once I went through and turned on all the channels that I wanted, it was back to using the extended service, and not basic and was changing HD PVR and visa versa. did it twice to make sure I did not do it wrong.

as to when I made the changes, I selected exit from the menu, not sleep. It was completely closed.

If you are using service mode, was the service stopped?

I don't know people's familiarity with editing the properties file, so just in case: No SageTV process can be running and you must edit sage.properties. Make sure Windows Explorer is not hiding extensions, or you could be editing the .autobackup version of the file instead.

What STV version is listed on the System Information screen? (Use the Info command from the Main Menu.)

No, I am not running it as a service. I view all files and was editing the sage.properties.

I am using 6.4.3.171.

That's the version of the SageTV core. What is the STV name and version?

I'm asking because when I look at the STV code, I don't see why it would skip the question about creating a separately configurable lineup if the selected lineup is already in use and that property has been set to true.

Did you choose to re-use an existing lineup, or did you go through the process of selecting a provider based on the zip code? (It happens after you select the provider based on zip code.)

Software Version: SageTV V6.4.3.171
Java Version 1.6.0_05

I kept selecting a provider. I never used existing lineup.

That isn't the STV file version. On the System Information screen there is a line that starts Current STV File: -- what is listed on that line?

you were right. I was using the SageMC STV.

When I switched to SageSTV, removed the PVR150, then I got the question if I wanted to use the same line up.

Interesting.

Thanks for you help

Hmm...having a similar issue.

SageMC goes back to the default STV when doing changes like this, AFAIK, it looks the same, but I never get asked the question, dispite the properties file addition, set to true.

I assume that once everything is setup, you can go back and use SageMC, right?

Ah, ha! The switch back built into SageMC is NOT the original default STV, but a modified one.

Switching to the SageTV3.STV gets me the question.
