volume issues spdif on hd extender

have just recieved my first hd extender and loaded the current beta firmware and i am running latest sage beta 643

i connect to my audio amp via the spdif interface

it appears I may have found a bug, everytime i start playing any recording it plays at full volume although the OSD volume shows the last selected volume

if i use the remotes volume controls nothing happens until i press mute twice it will then change to the value indicated by the OSD volume

workaround: set the volume to what you want then press mute twice

not a biggie but the full blast from the speakers at the start of a programme can be very startling :-)

Mine does exactly the same thing. Maybe we should be doing a bug submission?

Mine does the same thing. Works OK via HDMI to the TV. Which is odd as I selected spdif interface in the setup.

I have just tried rolling back to a release firmware and I can confirm it behaves exactly the same as the current beta as documented in my original post
