				VNC Control no more?

Until 2.0, I was able to control SageTV from a remote computer using Ultr@VNC. Now, when I connect, the SageTV menu screen shows up as a uniform blue screen without text or graphics. Is this a problem for anyone else? I can still see the Windoes Start menu and menu bars as usual. David |

Sorry to report that I use UltraVNC also and it works fine for me.... What's different in our configs? I use all 250 cards no 350's if that is a difference? WinXP. |

I switched from UltraVNC to RealVNC Beta 4 because it supports dual display!

On my server (SageTV) I am using the default video renderer (don't know what that is...) and 3d Acceleration is DISABLED. On the sageclient machine I am using Overlay and 3D acceleration is ENABLED. PS: I UltraVNC'ed over to check these settings |

This might be the problem I ran into a few weeks ago. When I installed UltraVNC server on the Sage box one of the last option is a virtual display driver. This caused tons of problems. After I reinstalled and unchecked this option all was well. Please keep in mind this was when I was using 1.4. I'm now using the most recent beta and haven't had any problems. Except the fact that its very slow controlling things. Hope that helps. |

Thanks, all. Having the 3D Acceleration acceleration turned on the server side broke it. What do you suppose that option is for, anyway? The virtual display driver in Ultr@VNC was causing me a problem several weeks ago in 1.4, and removing it had already been discussed in the forum. |
