Picture size not scaling on HD projector
I have just installed the 1.4 version of the SageTV software on my HTPC (Athlon 2100+, Radeon 9600XT, XP Pro) connected to a beat up lab monitor (640x480 primary) and via DVI to a Sony VPL-HS10 LCD projector (1368x768 secondary).
SageTV will start up with a splash screen on the monitor and the display on the projector. The problem I'm having is that, even in full screen mode, the SageTV-produced picture only takes up about 640x480 of the projector real-estate, anchored in the upper left corner. Is there some dependency on the primary monitor's resolution? Can DScaler provide some size adjustment (assuming I switch to the Elecard decoder)? Thanks, --Mike |

I am going to guess, that this has to do with the dual monitor setup and overlay settings. Have you tried just connecting to the pj?

Disconnecting the lab monitor did the trick. The problem is, I'd like to have that monitor connected for maintenance stuff, so I don't have to fire up the projector if I want to make a quick check on computer status, recordings, updating software, etc. I will experiment with primary/secondary monitor configurations and remote desktop access.
I ran into a few more problems, but they don't have anything to do with the subject of this thread so I will search/post in another. Thanks for the help, --Mike |

Try setting the PJ to primary, or running both at the same res.

The projector showed up as "1" in the properties, but secondary in the Powerstrip configurations. I was chalking it up to set designations for the VGA and DVI outputs, but on further consideration, I'm not sure why that would be etched in stone.
I think if I tried 1368x768 (1:1 for the PJ), it would kill the poor little CRT. --Mike |
