HD100 Firmware update not working
Hey guys,
I've checked around and couldn't find the answer to this. I just got my HD100 and wanted to update the firmware. I followed the instructions here:

When I click on Check for Updates it says no updates available. Currently I have 20080204 0. I must be doing something wrong.

I one kinda off the subject question. I read about how some have changed the aspect ratio to 1080p and 720p. The only way I saw to change the picture was the Aspect button on the remote. I'm getting really a really pixally picture and I'm not sure if it's the aspect ratio or using the composite cables that came with it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You need to go to the firmware update screen and type 2382 on the remote then the title at the top of the screen will change to indicate "beta firmware" then check for updates.

You have the latest non-beta firmware.

DO NOT UPDATE to the lastest beta firmware if you have any HD content you want to playback and you are using SPDIF for your audio. The latest firmware is bad.

[edit: to make this post more clear, 5/23 was bad, 5/19 is good.]

The bad version of the beta firmware appears to have been taken down. The 5/19 version is now the latest beta available.
