Technotrend S2-3200 support

I noticed that the S2-3200 is supported by Sage and also that the new beta has diseqc support. Can anyone tell me if the S2-3200 can be used with diseqc in Sage and if it can control a positioner and tune dvb-s2 channels? Also, are there any instructions for setting up dvb-s tuners with diseqc? The manual doesn't seem to have anything yet.

I've got a c-band dish controllable with diseqc via a vbox and would like to get some of the FTA channels into Sage without having to go through a network encoder.

Thanks,
Mike

DVB-S2 and Diseqc are not yet supported on the S3200.

In general, you will find that DVB cards, even if they support Diseqc 1.2, will not be useable in driving a Diseqc 1.2 motor because they don't have enough current. At best you will be able to drive a 1.2 positioner which drives an actuator on a polar mount.

I think that for SageTV, the FireDTV S2 is the only fully supported tuner.

Guess I'll stick with MT or DVBDream and a network encoder then. I'm actually using a Vbox to drive my dish so the current output isn't really important. The Vbox does all the work, I just need the DVB card to be able to "speak the language". Maybe we'll get full DVB-S support in the next release.

Thanks,
Mike
