How do i setup to use a prefix IR transmit before my numbers with my Actisys (sagev2)

I've just discovered that a problem i have with my satellite box crashing and going to stand by can be gotten around by sending a particular key press before then sending the 3digit channel number.. How exactly do i set this up?!? all the more complicated now Sage V2 is out on beta and currently in use...
