Video Source Setup missing options

I was looking at using SageMC and I when setting up channels within SageMC it doesn't seem like you have all the same options as normal to map channels. I think this screwed me up a couple times in previous tests. Can someone shed some light on this? Can I setup an HD-100 to use the SageMC interface but the server uses the original interface?

Thanks!

Neil

You should be using the default STV for any setup options, especially source & channel lineup configuration.

I think SageMC switches to its own version of the default STV for setup, but if you are using a newer version of SageTV, I suggest you change to the default STV manually because setup code changes frequently.

And, yes, you can use different STVs for the UI on different clients.

Ok that was definitely an issue for me. Seems like MC needs that section tightened up.

How do you specify that a specific HD-100 use a certain interface? If I set that up on the particular HD-100 won't it affect everything?

Thanks!

Just tell it what STV to use. It will only affect that client.

The only time it could affect multiple clients is if you configure things using the server UI w/o being in service mode -- then the settings in sage.properties become the default for any remote clients (extenders & Placeshifter) that don't have their own custom settings already.
