Sage Server as a client

I have a Sage server set up for the shows that my kids watch and another Sage server that my wife and I use.

Is it possible to have on of the Sage servers access the content on the other Sage server? Preferably without losing access to it's own library on content?

You can't access two servers at the same time if that's what you're asking.

You could install SageClient or Placeshifter on the server and configure it to access the other server.

You could run the server UI using the -client parameter & then connect to the other server. But like stanger89 said, the UI won't have recordings from both servers.

You could also add the other system's recording dirs as import directories, so you would at least have access to the recordings, but not its detailed descriptions.

For some reason I was thinking the pseudo client couldn't connect to remote servers

Yeah -- I do that to connect to a couple test systems, and network encoders can do that with a client UI to connect to the main server. I find it handy that the HD100 can connect to any local server too.
