.mkv subtitle support on HD Media Extender
There are a few threads around mentioning that the HD Media Extender currently has no support for .mkv-embedded subtitles, but suggesting that the feature may be added soon.
Since the only workaround - burning in the subtitles - is rather unpalatable, does anyone know when support for subtitles will be added? |

Contact support directly, they are the only ones that can give you the answers you seek. Whether they will or not is another matter.

Yes, if you have the subtitle add-on installed.

I think i saw once a SRT subtitle STV addon, which could make u put the subs on the screen (independent if its on sage client, sd extender or hd). There are some converters in case that what you want to play isnt in SRT format, cant recall the name of that program (VidSub or something like that, just google a bit and u should find it easliy)
