How do I get Sage recorder setup as an encoder on a client?
I have the trial versions of the Sage Client and Sage Recorder. The client seems to be working fine. I can't locate any instructions about how to setup sage recorder to be used as an encoder. Are there any instructions? If so, where? I have set the option for Sage Recorder to be an encoder. Some of my questions are?
1. Should Sage recorder be running or just need to be installed on client? 2. Do I need to restart Sage TV after installing Sage Recorder for it to be seen as an encoder? How in general do I get Sage recorder going as an encoder |

Look for instructions in here:
http://www.freytechnologies.com/developers.html Answers: 1. Yes, Recorder needs to be running. 2. You need to exit SageTV, add a bunch of stuff to the properties file, then restart and add the encoder tuner using the Setup Wizard. You also need to make you SageTV recorded video directory a network share and replace however you're referring to it in SageTV, with it's network UNC name e.g., \\sagemachine\video. Good luck. |

Thank You, actually I had found that document and saved it on my system way back at the end of Oct. I had completely forgotten about it. It almost looks like its more trouble than it is worth since I only have S-video working properly for input on my 350 card. Looks like I fried the tuner trying to find the Hauppauge mixed card bug.
